Inspired by selected works of visual art, this performance brings to life the exact moment portrayed in each artwork, exploring the enigmatic and surreal possibilities of what could happen next, most clearly conveyed through the dancer who responds to the subsequent unseen moment. The performance invites the audience to witness the unfolding of these visual stories, as each piece transitions from a moment frozen in time to a living, breathing continuation of the artist’s vision.

Nodal points are understood to be key locations, intersections, or moments where different elements converge, interact, and connect to create a parallel emergent ray.

Drawing on the idea of a node, unique but like-minded artistes from various walks of life will be coming together for this production, as "nodal points" who delve in cross-genre practice themselves, to create meaning and connection, or "rays".

"Nodal Points" would be the next growth step in UTB's body of work. It has treated it's past work and unique movement language itself as "nodal points"; exemplified by hybridity and a genre-blurring character. UTB dancers view their dance bodies as a lens, where different genres have connected to emerge a unique ray of hybridity.

PEAFOWL is a dazzling Queer Korean drama that follows an iconic trans waacker on her journey to raise funds for gender affirming surgery and ultimately, find herself. 🦚
