1.2 How to get there?

1.2.1 SensoryScape Glow Garden  
- By Sentosa Express: Alight at Beach Station, walk to Glow Garden.  
- By Public Bus: Take Bus 123 and alight at Beach Station, walk to Glow Garden. 
- By Intra-Island Bus: Take Bus A or B and alight at Beach Station, walk to Glow Garden.
- Driving in: Park at the nearest carpark located at Beach Station Carpark, walk to Glow Garden. 
- By Cable Car: Take the Mount Faber Line, alight at Sentosa Station, and enter Sensoryscape via Lookout Loop and walk to Glow Garden or take the Sentosa Line, alight at the Imbiah Lookout Station, and enter Sensoryscape via Lookout Loop and walk to Glow Garden. 


2. General Questions 
2.1 Admission Requirements 

2.1.1 Is there an age requirement for the event? 
Our Sentosa K-POP Dance Championships is family-friendly event. However, participants should at least be 15 years of age and would require parental or guardian’s consent if below the age of 18. 

2.1.2 How do I register for the event? 

Registration will be via this form . 

Registration will close on 28 February 2359hrs. 

Do note that Registration will not be required for audience. 

2.1.3 How do I know if my registration is confirmed? 

You will receive a copy of your responses upon successful registration.

2.1.4 Will there be any free transportation into Sentosa as a participant?

No. There will be no free monorail, parking, cable car, bus etc. for participants. Participants are to travel here on their own account.


2.2 Activities Entry 

2.2.1 What time am I allowed entry? 

Sensoryscape is an open space, however, do note that it would be recommended for you to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the event. 

2.2.2 Is the event ground accessible for wheelchairs or prams? 

Yes, there are ramps and lifts along Sensoryscape. 

2.2.3 Is there a separate entrance fee for or it is open to the public?

No, there will be no fees needed, and it is open to the public. 


2.3 Food and Beverage 

2.3.1 Will there be sale of food and beverages in the event premises?

There are food outlets surrounding the event premise. 

2.3.2 Will there be any water stations around the event premises?

There will be water coolers near the event premise. 


2.4 Pets 

2.4.1 Are pets allowed on the premises of the event? 

Yes, Sensoryscape is a pet-friendly space. However, for the safety of all guests do ensure that your pet is on a leash, and not left unattended. 

2.5 Weather 

2.5.1 Will the event be cancelled in the event of inclement weather? 

The Sentosa K-POP Dance Showdown is a rain-or-shine event. Activities will only be cancelled in the event of lightning risk or heavy rain. 

2.6 Judging Criteria

2.6.1 How will the winner be decided?

Judging matrix will be as per the table below. The judges & SDC’s decisions are deemed final

Preliminary Round & Semi-Finals

• Choreography execution (technique, timing, energy, coordination, formation, synchronisation) – 35%  
• Expression and Stage Presence – 25% 
• Accuracy to original artists/choreography (including lip syncing) – 30% 
• Costumes – 10% 

Finals

• Choreography execution (technique, timing, energy, coordination, formation, synchronisation) – 35%  
• Expression and Stage Presence – 25% 
• Accuracy to original artists/choreography (including lip syncing) – 15% 
• Costumes, Props, Music – 10%
• Creativity – 15% 

2.7 Indemnity

2.7.1 Will I be allowed to perform if I am sick?

No. All participants must be physically fit to join this event. Sentosa reserves the right to decline any participant from participating should they show signs of any medical risk.

2.7.2 Is videotaping/ taking photographs allowed at the event?

Yes, as this is a public event in an open space, videography and photography are allowed. 

2.7.3 Will there be any medical professionals on-site?

No. However, if anyone is in need of medical assistance, we will call our rangers at 1800-RANGERS to assess the situation.

2.7.4 Will Sentosa be liable for any injuries sustained during the event?

Sentosa does not take responsibility for any injuries. We will assist however we can, however we will not be held liable.

Judges


Akif

From humble beginnings auditioning as a vocal and dance competitor, Akif Halqi has grown to become a national representative and emerged as a global winner at the K-pop World Festival 2017.

From sharing the stage with BTS to performing for former South Korean President Mr Moon Jae In and with over 10 years of experience as a choreographer, Akif Halqi now channels his passion and mentors youths as a competition judge and dance coach.

Amanzo

Amanzo, born and raised in Singapore, is a young and upcoming choreographer in the international street dance scene.

She has been teaching choreography classes in the local scene in Singapore as well as internationally notably, 1Million Dance Studios in South Korea, En Dance in Japan and Snowglobe in the United States. 

She has also choreographed for local artists, Khally & Ilinahats.

Amanzo looks forward to exploring the world and its various dance scenes as well as working with other dancers and artists in the entertainment industry in the years to come.

HQ

Active as one of the founders and leaders of Z-Axis Dance Crew since 2020, HQ has led the team to win multiple Kpop dance competitions since 2011 and grow the YouTube Channel to the biggest K-pop dance crew in Singapore. She was also invited to perform in Korea as a representative from Singapore and starred in a show ‘Hallyu Olympiad Tourgram” by Korean Broadcasting Station SBS.

Renan

Renan is an accomplished dance professional with a diverse range of experiences in choreography and performance. As a choreography director, Renan has contributed to the success of several notable projects. Renan's work as the choreography director for XG's "Shooting Star" and "LEFT RIGHT" showcases their ability to create dynamic and captivating dance routines that enhance the overall artistic vision of the performances.

Her choreography credits include a variety of high-profile artists and groups. Renan has crafted mesmerizing dance routines for BOBBY of IKON's "Drowning," XG's "MASCARA," Purplekiss' "Sweet Juice," Red Velvet's "Birthday," Kep1er's "LVLY," Verivery's "Crazy Like That," TRIBE's "KISS," and Kep1er's "The Girls" (co-choreography). Renan's expertise in choreography is evident in the intricate and innovative movements they create, ensuring that each performance stands out with its unique style.
